Video Of Olympic Star Katie Ledecky As A Child With Michael Jordan Has Everyone Thinking The Same Thing

As Katie Ledecky continues to dominate the Olympics, recently becoming the owner of nine gold medals and 14 total medals since his first Olympics games in London in 2012, many are quick to call her one of the greatest swimmers of all time.

They wouldn’t be wrong either, as her recent performances at the Paris Olympic games have made her the most decorated women’s swimmer ever.

Now, as everyone shows appreciation to the amazing athlete, an old video of her and Michael Jordan has resurfaced. It shows that Ledecky has been surrounded by greatness her whole life.

The video posted by Ledecky of the pair shows Michael Jordan playing peekaboo with her as a child. “Grabbing my popcorn for tonight’s episodes of #TheLastDance,” wrote Ledecky in the caption. “I can tell you one thing about Michael Jordan: he’s a tough peek-a-boo player, but he didn’t stand a chance against my popcorn.”

It was a moment many online appreciated as the two great athletes once crossed paths before anyone, even thought Ledecky would be where she is today.

If not anything, it almost seems fate brought the at-the-time superstar Jordan and soon-to-be Olympic champion together to share a special moment.

Katie Ledecky Has Become America’s Next Legendary Swimmer

When Michael Phelps officially retired from competing, a major hole was left in America’s swimming team.

Of course, that was before everyone knew that Ledecky would have no problem taking over the torch as the most well-known American swimmer.

Her ability to consistently be dominant is apparent as she has moved to fifth all-time in terms of most decorated Olympian and will likely continue her Olympic journey in 2028.

“I’d love to [compete in LA]!” she said, according to Team USA. “I mean, we’ll see. It’s not easy. But again, I’ll take it year by year and give it everything I’ve got for as long as I have left in me.”
