The Carolina Panthers have been one of the worst teams in the NFL for quite some time now. After an embarrassing 10-47 Week 1 loss to the New Orleans Saints, many fans are already done with the season.
However, on Wednesday, the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, fans took things way too far in the comment sections of the Panther’s post, remembering the tragic event. The photo is of Bank of America Stadium with an American flag spanning the whole field and a caption, “Never Forget.”

Many of the comments only make cruel jokes about the event and the Panther’s current state of the team.
“I’ll never forget Bryce Young’s first play of this season either,” wrote one comment.
“Saddam Hussein would be a better defensive coordinator,” wrote another.
“Never forget that embarrassing blow out on our first opening game,” continued a third about the Panthers.
“never forget our 9/11 this past sunday. We got pat mcafee saying we might get relegated. Can we just lock in,” continued a fourth.
It’s a true testament to the fanbase as a whole that so many people feel the need to make such inappropriate comments about the attacks. Of course, not every Panthers fan feels the same way, but it’s disturbing to see so many making the same comments
Carolina Panthers Fans Are Set To Witness A Very Long Season
It is set to be a very long and grueling season for the Panthers, and that becomes obvious after just one game.
Their former first-overall quarterback, Bryce Young, had a terrible game. He completed 13 of 30 passes for 161 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions.
The defense didn’t look any better either, giving up five touchdowns, three passing and two rushing.
