Brittany Mahomes surprised as Patrick Mahomes newest fans pay him a visit at home

Fame can be such a burden — especially for Patrick Mahomes, who is the star in the United States‘ most popular sports league, the NFL. Fortunately for Patrick, he has his wife Brittany and two young children, Bronze and Sterling, to help keep him grounded — with a third child now on the way.

Patrick himself has remained a pretty humble character despite his fame, his salary, and his outrageous success with the Kansas City Chiefs. Since 2019, Kansas City has won the Super Bowl three times and a going for a fourth ring this season. Apparently, the Chiefs‘ start to 2024 — a hard-fought home win over the Baltimore Ravens — has brought a new fan or two right to Patrick’s doorstep

The Mahomes and their surprise visitors

After welcoming a new friend to the Mahomes family aquarium on Wednesday, Brittany on Thursday took to Instagram Stories to upload a pair of videos showing a group of vultures converging on the football/soccer field located at the Mahomes mansion in Cass County, Missouri.

“They’re here every morning,” Brittany said as she began recording. “This (the field) must be their meetup spot. There’s nothing dead, they just like to hang out.”

The birds even caught the attention of Sterling Mahomes, Brittany and Patrick’s daughter and their oldest child. When Brittany asked “what are they, Sterling?” the three-year-old didn’t skip a beat.

Disgusting!” she yelled, a sentiment with which Brittany quickly agreed.

It remains to be seen what the next chapter in this tale will say. But as long as the birds are not actively disrupting daily life in the Mahomes house, Brittany might be inclined simply to leave them alone and keep it moving. In the meantime, Patrick and the Chiefs are getting set for their Week 2 matchup against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals — a team intent on snatching back the AFC crown from Kansas City.
