Everyone Is Saying The Same Thing About Tom Brady After Bills-Dolphins “Thursday Night Football” Game

NFL fans were saying the same thing about Tom Brady during the Miami Dolphins-Buffalo Bills game on Thursday night.

Why was Tom Brady being mentioned aplenty in a game without any connection to him? It was another case of fans calling for the GOAT to return to football, despite announcing his retirement 19 months ago.

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion on a hit from Bills safety Damar Hamlin late in the third quarter after sliding headfirst to pick up a first down. Hamlin accidentally made contact with Tagovailoa’s head during a routine tackle attempt.

Some fans and pundits immediately began wondering if Tagovailoa might retire after another concerning head-related injury. Remember, he suffered three concussions in the 2022 season and had to miss five games, including their playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills.

So unsurprisingly, social media began calling for the Dolphins to bring Tom Brady out of retirement and sign him to be their next quarterback:

It’s no secret how much Dolphins owner Stephen Ross admires Tom Brady. In 2022, the team was stripped of its 2023 first-round pick for tampering violations related to Brady and current Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton. Ross was fined $1.5 million and suspended through Oct. 17 of that year.

Tom Brady just began his broadcasting career with FOX Sports last weekend, signing a 10-year deal worth $375 million in 2022. There are no clear-cut indicators that he would actually consider leaving FOX now to sign with the Dolphins mid-season.

Miami Dolphins Need To Add More QB Insurance

With all due respect to Dolphins backup quarterback Skylar Thompson, the team just isn’t built to win without a healthy Tagovailoa. If Tagovailoa misses time, it’s obvious that Miami will need to upgrade at the backup quarterback spot.

Brady isn’t a realistic option, so the Dolphins may want to eye the trade market or even consider bringing back old friend Ryan Tannehill.
