When it comes to annoying players, many fans have their own takes on who really grinds their gears, whether it’s Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, or even Travis Kelce.
The Action Network decided to find out who those players are officially by commissioning a poll to identify the most annoying teams and players in the NFL.
The Action Network polled more than 3,000 NFL fans that ran from July 31 through August 5 and announced the results this week.
Lo and behold, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been chosen as the league’s “most annoying player.”
Rodgers received 27 percent of the vote, while Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was next at 17 percent.
Odell Beckham Jr., who hasn’t even started his season yet, had 10 percent, while Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had 8 percent.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott rounded out the top five with his 5 percent.
Fanbases from 24 of the league’s 32 teams voted for Aaron Rodgers. There were 23 outright and a tie between Rodgers and Kelce for Chargers fans.
Despite winning a Super Bowl and capturing four NFL MVP awards with the Packers, 34 percent of the fan base selected him in the poll.
Aaron Rodgers Silences His Critics During First Home Start Since Injury
The New York Jets’ offense, led by Aaron Rodgers, appeared to shake off any remaining rust in a 24-3 victory over the New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium on Thursday Night Football.
After tosing for 167 yards and 176 yards in back-to-back weeks, many critics thought Rodgers may be done.
Rodgers silenced his critics by throwing for 281 yards and two scores on 27-of-35 passing.
After missing all but four snaps last season due to a torn Achilles, Rodgers appears to be getting his feet under him as the 2024 campaign progresses.
The 40-year-old quarterback finally looked like the dynamic quarterback we all know and love.
The Jets, now 2–1, will rest this weekend as they have an extended break before they begin preparing for their Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos next week.
