‘SNL’ Taking Serious Heat Over “Classless” Skit About United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson

‘Saturday Night Live’ fielded some serious criticism for their segment on the m-rder of Brian Thompson this weekend.

The United Healthcare CEO was g-nned down in Manhattan on Wednesday, with police still on the hunt for the suspect.

Thompson is thought to be the victim of a targeted attack as the shooter reportedly had words etched on the rounds used to commit the m-rder.

‘SNL’ addressed the incident over the weekend and turned viewers off with their comments.

“The manhunt continues for the assassin who g-nned down the CEO of United Healthcare on Wednesday, and it really says something about America that a guy was m-rdered in cold blood and the two main reactions were, ‘Yeah, well health care stinks!’ And also, ‘Girl, that shooter hot,’” co-host Colin Jost joked.

“New York City police say that they were able to get the smiling picture of the suspect after the man apparently was caught on camera at a local hostel, flirting with a female employee, whose name has been reported as, ‘Lucky S. Bechalive,’” Michael Che added.

Viewers Did Not Find The ‘SNL’ Segment On Brian Thompson Funny

It doesn’t appear that many people found this funny, given that Brian Thompson left a mourning family behind..

“Disgusting. I couldn’t watch this segment. The victim’s family and friends are very much grieving right now,” someone commented, per FOX News.

“Agreed. I don’t usually watch SNL, and I can see by the segment and comments supporting it, that I will no longer be watching it. Joking about someone’s m-rder like that is absolutely disgusting… a family is grieving right now,” another added.

“Long time viewer of SNL. I don’t consider myself particularly [sensitive] to any topic, but in today’s Weekend Update edition they made jokes about the United Health CEO gunned down in NYC. That was really distasteful and disrespectful. SNL, you need to do better,” said a third.

Jost would also joke about how easy it was for the shooter to get away as he seemingly aimed some criticism at the NYPD.
