The moment Haliey Welch’s haters have been waiting for is here, with many of her fans having turned against her following the launch of her meme coin.
Welch, who became an overnight sensation after coining the phrase “Hawk Tuah,” launched her Hawk Tuah coin (HAWK) on Wednesday afternoon. It reached a cap of $490 million but dropped to $36.6 in a matter of hours, costing investors a lot of money.
Folks are now calling for her to go to jail, while a law firm is offering its services to everyone who has been affected.
Haliey took to X to respond to allegations of defrauding her fans following the controversial launch.
“Team hasn’t sold one token and not 1 KOL was given 1 free token. We tried to stop snipers as best we could through high fee’s in the start of launch on @MeteoraAG. Fee’s have now been dropped,” she wrote.
