Former NFL flop Johnny Manziel has been trolled on social media after posting a bizarre video of him and his girlfriend sharing an intimate moment in the bath.
The Texas A&M football star and former Heisman Trophy winner has led a wild life, but appears to have settled down in recent months with the daughter of MLB icon Jose Canseco.
This week, in fact, they shared more of themselves than ever before, posting a clip of Manziel scrubbing his girlfriend’s back in the bath.
In a post to her Instagram celebrating Manziel’s 32nd birthday, Canseco wrote: ‘A love like you. My best friend and my forever.
‘I’m so proud of the man you’ve grown into. You are the kindest heart I’ve ever met. How’d I get so lucky. Happy birthday my baby.’
Alongside the caption was a video of Manziel washing his girlfriend’s hair, while the pair sat naked together in the bath.
On social media, the video quickly racked up millions of views and some fans were quick to troll the college football legend, with one writing: ‘Lowkey ashamed to ever call this guy my goat.’
Another added: ‘What the hell is this?’
Elsewhere, though, other fans backed Manziel and saw the content for what it was aimed to be, writing: ‘Completely normal couple behavior. A modern-day love story.’
Manziel and Canseco have been Instagram official since April, and appear to have gone from strength to strength since announcing their relationship at Stagecoach music festival.
Canseco is a model and the daughter of six-time MLB All-Star and two-time World Series champion Jose Canseco.
Manziel, meanwhile, is now a business owner and a podcast host, and regularly tells stories of his bad boy past now that he has cleaned up his act.
The ex-quarterback was one of the hottest college prospects of all-time when he left Texas A&M and was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2014, but his time with the franchise was overshadowed by a series of off-field controversies.
He was released at the end of 2016 in the wake of domestic violence incidents, alcohol-fueled all-nighters and lying to the team over bye-week parties.
It appears Manziel has now found love with Canseco, whose father also endured his fair share of issues away from the sporting world.
