McDonald’s Worker Who Snitched To Get Luigi Mangione Arrested May Get Screwed Out Of $50K Reward

The McDonald’s worker who helped catch United HealthCare CEO Brian Thompson’s murder suspect, Luigi Mangione, may not get the $50K reward due to the way he turned the suspected killer in.

The 26-year-old was arrested at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania on Monday as he was spotted eating breakfast.

Ahead of his arrest, the New York Police Department initially offered $10K for any information. Once the FBI got involved, they offered additional money to raise the offer to $50,000.

Whatever the reason the McDonald’s worker called to catch Luigi Mangione, it won’t matter when it comes to the reward money because he did not report it correctly.

The rewards program is executed through Crime Stoppers, so tipsters must call 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) to provide information in order to receive cash.

After providing their information, tipsters receive a unique reference ID, and any reward given to them must be approved by a Board of Directors.

Basically, the unknown worker has put his life in jeopardy to help police catch Luigi Mangione, and he might not be rewarded at all for his efforts.
