Several drastic changes have been announced for the NFL schedule in Week 17.
For starters, three games with significant playoff implications have been moved up to Saturday, Dec. 28. The three games on the NFL schedule that day are: Los Angeles Chargers at New England Patriots (1:00 p.m. EST), Denver Broncos at Cincinnati Bengals (4:30 p.m. EST) and Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams (8:00 p.m. EST).
Additionally, the “Sunday Night Football” clash between the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns has been moved to 4:05 p.m. EST. The Washington Commanders’ home game vs. the Atlanta Falcons will now be played in prime time.
The Broncos (9-5) and Chargers (8-6) hold two of the AFC’s three wild-card spots. The Bengals need to win out if they’re to have any chance at the postseason. The Cardinals (7-7), Rams (8-6) and Seattle Seahawks (8-6) are vying for the NFC West crown, and the Rams face both division foes one more time.
