Christian school where Natalie ‘Samantha’ Rupnow went is staunchly conservative, doesn’t believe in evolution

The small Christian school where a teen girl went on a bloody massacre in Wisconsin is staunchly conservative, rejecting the theory of evolution and claiming that local government is picked by God, according to its statement on faith.

The details emerged as cops said they are still probing a “combination of factors” when it comes to the motive behind Monday’s shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, where 15-year-old Natalie “Samantha” Rupnow fatally shot another teen student and a teacher while pumping bullets into three other teenagers and a teacher.

“Human beings were created by an immediate act of God and not by a process of evolution,” the school’s two-page statement says.

“We believe that civil government is ordained of God for the punishment of evil-doers, and for the protection of the good.

“We therefore consider it our duty to pray for rulers and magistrates; and to be obedient to their authority, except in things contrary to the will of God,” the statement added.

The school is a founding member of Impact Christian Schools, a cluster of Christian centers of higher learning in Wisconsin. The group “believes God wants more” from education, according to their website.

Elementary and Schools Relations Director Barbara Wiers echoed the school’s beliefs at a press conference Monday.
