Arch Manning’s future is one of the topics most talked about in college football.
The Texas Longhorns are preparing for their College Football Playoff quarterfinal game, but questions are still being raised about what will happen with Arch.
Before the Longhorns take the field on Wednesday, a few players met with the media to discuss the upcoming matchup with the Arizona State Sun Devils.
Backup quarterback Arch Manning, who may see some playing time in the game, was one of the few Texas players to speak on the game.
Heading into this game, he has been rumored to be hitting the transfer portal after the 2024 college football season.
On Monday, Arch Manning made it clear that he has “no plans” of entering the portal and will ultimately stick with the Longhorns.
“I mean, I really have no plans on entering the portal or anything,” Manning said, per Rivals. “So I don’t really know about it, about all the windows and everything.”

On the year, he has thrown for 939 yards with nine touchdowns and two picks, while also rushing for 100 yards and four touchdowns.
Arch Manning Rumored To Transfer To North Carolina
Arch Manning has navigated being on the Texas Longhorns quite well during his two seasons with the Longhorns.
While Manning is still projected to be the Longhorns’ starter in 2025 after Quinn Ewers leaves for the NFL, there have been rumors that he might hit the transfer portal and head elsewhere.
Manning, the No. 1 prospect in the 2023 class and one of the highest-rated quarterbacks to ever exit the high school ranks, has been projected to take his talents to the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Bill Belichick’s hiring there could change the landscape of the entire college game, and he just might snag the Texas quarterback from them.
The move has turned the Tar Heels into a hotbed of speculation for transferring quarterbacks, and Arch Manning’s name has naturally surfaced as a potential fit.
