When the New York Jets traded for Aaron Rodgers, there were dreams that he would make their team a Super Bowl contender.
The team hasn’t even been close to being a playoff squad with him aboard.
His first season was a complete wash. He only lasted a few plays before his entire season was ended due to a torn Achilles.
Season two was much anticipated, and neither Rodgers nor anybody could’ve guessed that the 2024 season would’ve turned out as terrible as it has.
Now, it is not a foregone conclusion that Aaron Rodgers will be back for the 2025 season.
With Week 18 approaching and the New York Jets eliminated from the playoffs, many are thinking about his future.
Covers.com is now breaking down the odds of where Rodgers will end up.
If he does not stay with the Jets for one more year, the report has the Las Vegas Raiders snagging him with +300 odds.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are next on the list at +400. The New York Giants, Tennessee Titans, and Cleveland Browns round out the top five teams that could bring Aaron Rodgers on board.
The star quarterback has looked every bit of 41 years old, throwing 10 interceptions and 24 touchdown passes through the Jets’ first 16 games.
Is Aaron Rodgers Thinking About Retirement?
Aaron Rodgers is thinking about the future.
This week, the veteran QB admitted he was thinking about whether the Jets’ final game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday would also be his last in the league.
“Yeah, of course, yeah,” Rodgers said as he reflected on his career.
Rodgers made it clear he “won’t be doing any more darkness retreats this offseason,” but stated he will take some time to rest before making a final decision.
