Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey has been slammed by NFL fans across social media for a controversial picture with his three young daughters.
The 30-year-old took to X to mark the start of 2025, sending out a picture of himself and his three kids all holding up their middle fingers.
‘It’s all love if you got love in ya heart but – middle finger emoji inserted – to the haters all year. We only want positivity round here,’ Ramsey wrote.
Ramsey’s oldest daughter is six-year-old Breelyn. He also has a five-year-old, Brooklyn, and a three-year-old Joonie.
Ramsey turned comments off on his post and has appeared to address the backlash with multiple posts since.
‘I don’t be caring… you mfs don’t know me just as a reminder lol,’ he said in one post that seemingly indirectly responded to the criticism he has been facing.
Another Ramsey post said: ‘Don’t let these folks make you think being a Christian mean you have to be perfect.
‘That’s why we need Jesus, is because we aren’t perfect. Cmon now… it’s love though.’
Ramsey also tweeted out a video of the community work he does with the Miami Dolphins and said: ‘Blessing to be a blessing.
‘This type of positivity, they don’t wanna see but we gon keep going in the community & with the people we got love for.’
But many fans felt Ramsey sent out the wrong message with his New Year’s Day post.
One responded to it on X saying: ‘Having children throw up obscene gestures is some bozo behavior.’
Another said: ‘Bad parenting. My daughter would get spanked if she did stuff like that.’
And a different, but equally unimpressed, response read: ‘Questionable parenting at the least. How about teaching your girls accountability and the proper way to handle criticism?’
This weekend, Ramsey’s 8-8 Dolphins team face the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium needing a victory to make the playoffs.
They head to the Big Apple with their starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa absent due to a hip issue.
If they beat Aaron Rodgers and his men on Sunday, they will need a heavily-changed Kansas City Chiefs team to also beat the Denver Broncos in order to make the postseason.
