VIDEO: Cris Collinsworth Was Having None Of Melissa Stark’s Sideline Report About Jayden Daniels As He Openly Questioned It On Live TV During Wild Card Game

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels may have won his first playoff game, but it did not come easy.

Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth, and Melissa Stark were doing their due diligence as they called the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Washington Commanders.

In the second quarter of that game, Daniels got hit hard right as he stepped out of bounds. He would go airborne and suffer a significant cut to his right cheek.

NBC’s cameras caught a close-up look at the cut Daniels suffered when he removed his helmet while walking to the sideline.

It wasn’t a huge worry, but a subsequent sideline report from Melissa Stark made clear that Jayden Daniels had been cleaned up and ready to play.

Cris Collinsworth was not a fan of that.

The color commentator jumped in and pushed back on them, even reporting a cut on his face.

“Oh, come on,” he said.

“We wouldn’t even show that if it was anybody but a quarterback. There wouldn’t be a cut man on the sidelines working on him, and it would just be ‘you look great.’”

Jayden Daniels might have taken a huge hit from Buccaneers defensive back Zyon McCollum, but he would have the last laugh as he capped off a 17-play, nine-minute drive with a touchdown pass to Dyami Brown.

Commanders Rookie Jayden Daniels Makes History During Playoff Victory

Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels accomplished an NFL first in Sunday’s playoff win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Daniels joined an elite company as he became the 12th quarterback in NFL history to win his first playoff start in his rookie year.

Daniels not only won his playoff debut but also filled up the stat sheet by completing 68.2 percent of his passes for 268 yards and two touchdowns.
