Donald Trump’s prediction for Green Bay Packers worries Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce

Donald Trump‘s comments on the Green Bay Packers might have secured him a few more votes in Wisconsin as he backs Jordan Love’s side to have a strong season in the upcoming 2024 NFL campaign.

The Packers impressed in the postseason last time out by dumping the Dallas Cowboys unceremoniously out of the picture with a 48-32 victory at the AT&T Stadium before they narrowly succumbed to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Game at the Levi’s Stadium.

So when they get their opening game under way, there will be a buzz in the crowd of what might be and Trump could clearly sense that energy as he bought into Wisconsin’s culture at the Republican National Convention.

“A very special thank you to the extraordinary people of Milwaukee and the great state of… there they are, there they are,” Trump said when noticing the blocks of foam cheddar. “You are so easy to spot!

“Green Bay is gonna have a team this year, right ‘They’re going to have a good team.”

It’s rare for Trump to be enthusiastic towards the NFL after several rejected attempts to purchase teams through his life, as well as his reaction to Colin Kaepernick‘s decision to kneel during the national anthem.

“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, you’d say, ‘Get that son of a b***h off the field right now. Out! He’s fired,'” Trump said of the footballer back in 2017.

What can the Packers expect in 2024?

If the Packers maintain the momentum they had towards the end of the 2023 season then the NFC North might be the best division to follow through 2024 as they battle it out with the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings.

The Lions made the NFC Conference Championship game in 2023 whilst the Vikings won the NFC North in 2022 so if all three of them bring their A-games then it could be a box office season for football.

Their first game of the season is against the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday, September 7.
