Football fans are ripping on Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce for successfully selling a big-time flop during the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills.
During the second quarter of the AFC title game, Travis Kelce exchanged some words with Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips. Kelce provoked Phillips to the point where the latter delivered a headbutt that drew an unnecessary roughness penalty:
Football fans ripped on Taylor Swift’s man for flopping just enough to draw the flag:
“Kelce is such a B,” one fan said.
“Kelce been watching Mahomes flop and learning some new tricks,” another wrote.
“What a baby,” wrote a fan.
“He’s such an embarrassment,” said another.
“This is why nobody likes the chiefs. They know the refs will always bail them and give them free yards,” said a fan.
“That’s all the contact it takes for him to go down running with the ball so it might be legit,” quipped another.
The NFL officials have received widespread criticism over their performances in Chiefs games, so it’s no wonder Travis Kelce’s flop here has led to immense backlash from fans.
Travis Kelce Had Massive Game vs. Texans Last Week
Kelce played a pivotal role in the Chiefs’ win over the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round, catching seven passes for 117 yards and a touchdown.
The NFL’s all-time leader in playoff receptions has cemented himself as an all-time great, with three championship rings on his resume. But Kelce would reach another level of special greatness if he somehow helped the Chiefs to a third straight title.
