Congressman Brandon Gill has put forward a bill that would see President Donald Trump’s face on the American $100 note.
The face of Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States has been on the American $100 bill since 1914. But Gill, a Republican serving Texas’ 26th Congressional District, thinks Donald Trump should replace Franklin on the bill.
Taking to X/Twitter, Gill announced that he has introduced the “Golden Age Act of 2025” that would require all $100 notes in the United States to feature President Trump’s face. The bill outlines that each $100 bill in the country must have Trump’s face after Dec. 31, 2028.

Gill’s proposal comes after fellow Republican Joe Wilson of South Carolina’s 2nd congressional district announced that he’s drafting legislation to have Trump’s face on the $250 bill:
Unfortunately for Gill, Wilson and those who support the bills, federal laws bar living persons from being featured on U.S. dollar bills. But hey, whatever it takes for them to stay on Trump’s good side.
Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election to secure a second term in office. Trump and new VP J.D. Vance were sworn in on Jan. 20, succeeding Joe Biden and Harris.

By defeating Harris in the election, Trump became just the second U.S. president to serve two nonconsecutive terms. The first was Grover Cleveland, who was in office from 1883 to 1887 and 1893 to 1897, with Benjamin Harrison serving in between the former’s terms.
Additionally, Trump became the oldest American to begin a presidential term at 78 years and 220 days of age. The record was previously held by Biden, who was 78 years and 61 days of age when he took office in 2021.
