Football fans are convinced that Jerry Jones has a big-time move up his sleeve following a selfless contract move by star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.
Per ESPN’s Todd Archer, the Cowboys and Lamb agreed to a restructured deal that opens up $20 million in cap space. It was one of two big moves for Dallas on Tuesday, as they also extended standout defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa for $80 million over four years.
It’s certainly an encouraging start to the offseason for Cowboys fans following last year’s debacle when Jerry Jones made zero blockbuster roster additions despite promising an “all-in” approach.
With Lamb restructuring his deal to help the Cowboys, football fans are now convinced that Jones is about to make a big move.
“Cowboys moving in March… way ahead of schedule, love to see this,” a fan wrote.
“Nahhhhh who pissed Jerry off. Let him cook,” another user said.
“Jerry and Stephen > Nico Harrison,” said one fan.
“Cowboys can get their number 2 receiver. Cooper Kupp?” asked another.
“jerrys pissed, and he’s going all in i’m afraid,” claimed a user.
“We’re COOKING,” wrote a fan.
Jerry Jones has a long to-do list that’s headlined by a contract extension for superstar linebacker Micah Parsons. Zack Martin’s retirement leaves a giant void at guard that must be filled, not to mention the Cowboys also need more help at wide receiver, linebacker and defensive end.
Jones waited awfully late to get extensions done with Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott last year. Knowing he had to save cap room for those two, Jones put himself in a bind early on and was unable to make the necessary moves to keep Dallas in playoff contention.
Jerry Jones Must Be “All-In” This Offseason

The Cowboys are simply top heavy and don’t have enough depth on either side of the ball right now to be a contender in a difficult NFC. It’s entirely on Jones to strengthen the roster instead of stubbornly counting on his core players to do all the work.
With a rising salary cap and the No. 12 pick in this year’s draft, Jones has the resources to build Dallas right back into a playoff team.
