President Donald Trump has been caught red-handed.
Trump was seen in a Red Tesla Model S with Elon Musk this week, expressing admiration for the vehicle’s beauty and announcing plans to purchase one.
As the president was giving props to the vehicle, a picture from his White House event on Tuesday captured a list of prices for Teslas parked on the south lawn of the White House.
Prior to the event, Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social that he wanted to buy one of the company’s electric vehicles to show support for Elon Musk.
A copy of Trump’s speech contained a handwritten note that included prices for the cars, which read like a sales pitch.
One photographer captured the incredible image of the note in Donald Trump’s hand, which read, in part, “Teslas can be purchased as low as $299/month or $35K.”
Tesla delivered five of its vehicles to the White House and parked them on a driveway for Trump.
With Musk by his side, Trump declared the vehicles “beautiful” while praising the company’s unusually designed Cybertruck.
“As soon as I saw it, I said, ‘That is the coolest design,’” Trump said.
His statement is a stark difference from his previous criticism of electric vehicles, but he told reporters on Tuesday that he had heard good things about Teslas from his friends.
Donald Trump Says Violence Against Tesla Is Domestic Terrorism

Donald Trump has had enough of protesters against Tesla.
On Tuesday, he made it clear that he would be open to labeling those who perpetrate violence against the company as domestic terrorists.
While next to Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and head of the Department of Government Efficiency, Trump made it clear that Musk has been treated unfairly.
“I think he’s been treated very unfairly by a very small group of people,” said Trump. “And I just want people to know that he can’t be penalized for being a patriot. And he’s a great patriot.”
Trump was asked by a reporter if he would consider labeling those committing violence against Tesla owners and dealerships as “domestic terrorists.”
“I’ll do it. I’m gonna stop them…because they’re harming a great American company,” said Trump. “When you hurt an American company, especially a company like this that supplies so many jobs that others are unable to do.”
