Popular comedian and talk show host Jon Stewart lit into Donald Trump after the President bragged about winning a golf tournament at his very own course.
On Sunday afternoon, President Trump took to his Truth Social account to announce that he won the Golf Club Championship at his West Palm Beach course, Trump International Golf Club. The 78-year-old said it was “probably my last” victory at the club:
If you took a quick search on social media, you’ll find countless folks ridiculing the President and questioning the legitimacy of his golf victory. After all, one just needs to read Rick Reilly’s 2019 book, “Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump” that details Trump’s history of cheating in the sport.
On the latest edition of “The Daily Show”, Jon Stewart poked fun at Trump over his victory at West Balm Beach:
“He’s like the Make-a-Wish Batman kid. Hey look at that Donald! You caught all the criminals!’ Look, I’m opposed to anyone rolling back American democracy, but I do tip the cap to any 78-year-old winning a golf tournament.”
Tell us how you really feel, Jon.
Donald Trump has a long and well-documented history with the game, owning nearly two dozen golf courses worldwide. He also has close ties with golf legends like Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Greg Norman.
Trump was critical of President Barack Obama’s golfing habits during his two terms as president, though data shows that Trump played golf roughly once every 4.92 days during his first term.
Donald Trump Is The Oldest POTUS To Begin A Term

Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, becoming just the second American president to serve two nonconsecutive terms (the first was Grover Cleveland).
“The Donald” took office on Jan. 20, becoming the oldest president ever to begin a term at 78 years 220 days. The record was set by predecessor, Joe Biden, who was 78 years and 61 days of age when he took office in 2021.
