Dave Portnoy called out the “Family Guy” television series and accused them of “insulting him” over their portrayal of the Barstool Sports owner.
The sixth episode of the show’s 23rd season, “Dog is My Co-Pilot,” aired on Sunday night. The episode included a storyline in which brothers Stewie and Christopher Griffin open a mini pizza stand, Mount Ve-Stewvius.
Dave Portnoy’s character suddenly appears with a cameraman behind him. You’ll notice that the voice is a giant over-exaggeration of the Barstool boss himself and not the real Dave Portnoy.
Referencing Portnoy’s popular One Bite Pizza Reviews YouTube series, he takes a bite of their mini pizza and instantly raves about it. Just as Chris and Stewie are about to celebrate, cop Joe Swanson shuts down the business.
Portnoy addressed his cameo appearance on the popular animated series, calling it “half nice, half insulting.” Portnoy took an issue with a line where his “Family Guy” character mentions how UFC fans and insurrectionists are the ones who watched his pizza reviews.
“Also, Family Guy, pick up the damn phone and let me do a voiceover, huh? Cheap a*s,” Dave Portnoy said. “Let me do a f**king leftover.”
Much of the humor on “Family Guy” has centered around mocking real-life celebrities, politicians, athletes and media personalities. This includes Donald Trump, George Bush, Ted Danson, O.J. Simpson, Tom Cruise, Jimmy Fallon and Tom Brady, among others.
Well, Mr. Portnoy, remember what they say: “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”
Dave Portnoy Should Ask “Family Guy” To Do A Sequel On His Cameo

For Seth MacFarlane and the folks who work on “Family Guy”, any publicity is good publicity. So having Portnoy openly rip on the show is good for business, since it’ll get more people to view the latest episode.
Dave Portnoy sounded interested in lending his voice for an episode. MacFarlane and the writing team could easily work up a fascinating new storyline around Portnoy if they wanted to do a follow-up on his first cameo.
