Kayla Nicole is stepping into a new chapter of her life, not just professionally but personally.
In the debut episode of her new podcast “The Pre-Game,” the 33-year-old media personality tackled everything from fun fan questions to speaking on her past with Travis Kelce that changed her perspective on love and privacy.
The influencer explained how she’s dating under the radar now after being under a microscope in her past relationship.
Nicole, who dated Kelce from 2017-2022 before going their separate ways, said, “I am like John Cena now with men—you don’t see me.” This was in response to a listener who asked if dating someone in the public eye altered how she dates now.
“You dont see me with a man and you won’t ever see me with a man until I’m married with kids.”
Kayla Nicole didn’t name Kelce, but it was quite obvious why she had made this decision. The three-time Super Bowl champ moved on with Taylor Swift in the summer of 2023.
“I don’t think that I ever want to publicly date another man until I am absolutely sure that they are my long-term person,” the sports reporter continued.
“I want to protect the things that mean most to me, and sometimes when you’re a little too open, and you’re a little too transparent, you open yourself up to a world of opinion, a world of entitlement.”
Kayla Nicole said she doesn’t want to speak publicly about any romantic partners.
“People want answers. People think that you owe them an explanation about every single thing in your relationship, every up and down and happy or sad moment,” she said. Nicole added that she is “dating and hiding” it right now. “I’m the queen of a private room in a back room in a corner closet. And I have no shame in it,” she added.

The couple split in 2022, but it was something they had done many times before in the past before hooking back up.
Unfortunately for Nicole, Kelce traded her in for Taylor Swift.
