Remember those “Air Bud” and “MVP” movies about the Golden Retriever and chimpanzee that become star athletes? Well, it might be time to start a series about a giant kangaroo that plays the NFL linebacker position.
For those unfamiliar, Canadian director/producer Robert Vince directed the “Air Bud” movie series which centered around the all-world athletic talents of a Golden Retriever named “Buddy.” The dog has a special ability to play sports like basketball, soccer, football, baseball and volleyball, joining the youth teams that his owners play on.
A similar premise was used for the “MVP” movie franchise, with a chimpanzee named Jack starring in ice hockey, skateboarding and snowboarding.
So, how about finding filmmakers to do a movie (or two) on this 9-foot-tall kangaroo spotted in Australia to play an NFL linebacker?

Social media had all sorts of wild reactions to the kangaroo that looks as shredded as all-time great NFL linebackers like Dick Butkus, Ray Lewis and Luke Kuechly:
“I know they’re cute and all, but if I ran into this thing in the bush I’d probably need a new set of trousers,” one user said.
“Australia is not for a weak,” wrote another.
“This is like a real life (Australian) version of those old horror movies featuring a giant version of a normal creature,” a user quipped.
“In the US kids growing up in rural areas go out and tip cows for fun. In australia they fight kangaroos,” joked another.
“Boys been stealing the locals leftovers after a barbecue!” said a user.
“That’s no longer a kangaroo that’s a small dinosaur,” joked another.
Female kangaroos usually measure up to 4-foot-11 inches in height, whereas a male kangaroo can range from about 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-7. So if anyone spotted that 9-foot-tall kangaroo in the area at the time, we can’t say we’d blame you for being terrified.
This Kangaroo Makes NFL Linebackers Look Tiny

When you think of imposing linebackers that opposing players feared, Butkus, Lewis, Bobby Wagner, Junior Seau, Jack Lambert and James Harrison immediately come to mind.
Now ask yourself this: Would it be scarier to come across that kangaroo in public, or to be a football player lining up against one of those linebackers on the field? There’s no right or wrong answer.
