Donald Trump’s website has started selling a controversial item that could land the president in huge trouble.
The public has raised some concern about one particular item for sale on Trumpstore.com that could violate the US constitution.
This term marks what will be his last after previously running as president in 2017- 2021, meaning that he will no longer be able to run when his term is up in 2028.
The 22nd amendment of the constitution states that no individual can run for a third term.
However, it seems that the constitution did not stop Trump from advertising and selling a piece of clothing that hints at just that.
US representative Andy Ogles previously expressed: “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.”
The viral item seems to hint that Trump is all for this, meaning he could run for a third time in 2028.
The clothing item shows Trump’s familiar red cap with the text ‘Trump 2028’ on the front.
The hat is on sale on his website for $50.
See below:

The description reads: “The future looks bright! Rewrite the rules with the Trump 2028 high crown hat. Fully embroidered with a snap closure in the back, this will become your new go-to hat.”
Taking to X, one user wrote: “He really thinks he can violate the constitution and the two term limit.. what a joke.”
As reported by Reuters, the thought of a third term is less than popular: “Three-quarters of respondents said Trump should not run for a third term in office — a path Trump has said he would like to pursue, though the U.S. Constitution bars him from doing so.
“A majority of Republican respondents — 53% — said Trump should not seek a third term.”
