President Donald Trump is winning over everyone for one more time.
He took the stage at the University of Alabama tonight to deliver the commencement address for the class of 2025. And the atmosphere soon went energetic.
Having a sitting president speak at graduation is quite the achievement, and many people were eager to see Trump, especially since he’s been a familiar face at Alabama events.
The last time Trump was there for a big football game was last September.
The crowd welcomed him warmly, with none other than Alabama football legend Nick Saban introducing him inside Coleman Coliseum. When Trump stepped up to the microphone, the audience erupted with cheers and even started chanting “U-S-A, U-S-A!”
While there were some protests outside, the atmosphere inside was overwhelmingly positive.
One moment that stood out was when Trump jokingly mentioned Senator Tommy Tuberville’s winning streak as the head coach at Auburn, poking a little fun at Alabama’s football rivalry.
Additionally, Trump lightened the mood for the students by sharing a story about how Tuberville joked he was responsible for Alabama hiring Nick Saban because they were tired of losing.
President Donald Trump Spoke About Trans Athletes At University Of Alabama

Trump recognized the accomplishments of the Alabama women’s track and field team, celebrating their recent SEC titles. He then made a point to address his administration’s efforts regarding transgender athletes in women’s sports.
“As long as I’m president, we will always protect women’s sports. Men will not play in women’s sports,” Trump said while the students kept cheering for him.
Though he’s long been vocal about his clear stance on prohibiting transgender athletes from participating in women’s sports.
“It shall also be the policy of the United States to oppose male competitive participation in women’s sports more broadly, as a matter of safety, fairness, dignity, and truth,” his February order read.
