“Always Comes Down To…”- Kevin Durant Weighs In On Influencing Young Stars To Shape The Future Of Basketball For The Next Generation

Kevin Durant, widely regarded as one of the greatest players in NBA history, has recently completed his 16th NBA season. Throughout his career, he has achieved several milestones, including two NBA championships, an NBA MVP award, two Finals MVP Awards, two NBA All-Star Game MVP Awards, and four NBA scoring titles.

Durant, who was recently praised by coach K, has endeavored to entertain his fans with his incredible skills on the court. His talent serves as an inspiration to many young athletes. Recently, the two-time NBA champion also shared a motivating message for the young stars in the NBA during an interview with Blake Niemann, emphasizing their influence in shaping the future of basketball for the next generation.

“It’s pretty cool when you hear it from the real players, the guys actually putting in the work that are trying to make it to the NBA. You hear what I’ve meant to them and their careers. Then you hear what other people say about me sometimes, and they don’t understand my impact. But when you talk to the players, they give you a whole different story, which is pretty cool. It always comes down to what the guys on the floor are saying about you. Those are the opinions I really respect.”

Durant emphasized that he highly values the players’ perceptions of him. He explained that the thoughts of the players on the floor matter most, and he genuinely appreciates their input.

Durant Awestruck as Gymnastics Sensation Simone Biles Dazzles

After being eliminated during the round 1 playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2023-24 NBA season, Durant decided to play for Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, he missed the five pre-Olympic exhibition games due to his calf injury. The 14-time NBA All-Star bounced back fast, taking control of the games and helping Team USA win three in a row. However, in the meantime, the three-time Gold winner also watched other sports in the Olympics. Durant was amazed when Simone Biles, a star in gymnastics, showcased her talent.

“I really believe Goat Biles can catch a lob and finish. #bounce.” Durant wrote in his latest post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Durant’s incredible talent wowed everyone during his performance for Team USA. In the most recent game, the star player scored 11 points, made 3 assists, and grabbed 4 rebounds. Team USA’s next game is set for August 7th in the quarterfinals, but the opponent has yet to be decided.
