Stunning Ecuadorian Swimmer Anicka Delgado Has A Message For Social Media After Becoming The Obsession Of The Olympic Games

Ecuador’s Anicka Delgado shared a message with her supporters after competing in her first Olympic race on Saturday.

The swimmer has sort of become the obsession of the current games in Paris, France, with her social media photos going viral at the start of the competition. She participated in the 50-meter freestyle on Saturday, finishing her heat in 25.43 seconds.

Anicka placed second in her group, but it wasn’t enough to book her a place in the semifinal. Her run in the tournament is over, but she appeared to take it on the chin as she has since gotten on social media to thank her fans.

“Thank you for ALL of the love and messages,” she wrote on her IG story. “And to those of you who were up late to watch. I love you!”

“Wow!! First off, I am overwhelmed with the amount of love and support that I have received over these past couple of days,” she remarked. “Thank you to EVERYONE that I have met along this journey and in my life. Each one of you has left an impact and has helped me to reach my goals.

“As for my performance, I swam my second best time ever!!! And I could not be more proud of myself for getting here. Over the past two days, rather than feeling nervous and scared, I’ve felt so much peace. I’ve enjoyed every single second being here at the games and on this journey. I feel SO blessed to have made it this far. These are moments I will never forget.”
