A former New York Giants star running back and longtime fan favorite recently detailed the jaw-dropping game he put up in high school….while under the influence of cocaine.
Brandon Jacobs spent eight seasons with the New York Giants (2005 to 2011 and 2013), helping the team to two Super Bowl championships over the New England Patriots. That included a shocking upset of the previously undefeated 18-0 Pats in Super Bowl 42.
The hulking Jacobs (6-foot-4, 264 pounds) and Ahmad Bradshaw formed a potent rushing duo behind Eli Manning’s arm. Without their efforts, perhaps Tom Brady would have nine Super Bowl rings to his name.
Long before his NFL career, Jacobs was a star at Assumption High School near Napoleonville, Louisiana. During an appearance on the “Raw Room” podcast, Jacobs detailed an unbelievable story about how he put together a historic performance in a high school game after doing cocaine.

The longtime New York Giants RB added that he never bothered to try it again. He went on to shine at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas and spent one year at Auburn before transferring to Southern Illinois.
The New York Giants drafted Jacobs in the fourth round (110th overall) in a class that produced other stud running backs in Frank Gore, Ronnie Brown, Darren Sproles, Cedric Benson and Marion Barber.
Jacobs Leads New York Giants Franchise In Rushing TDs
Jacobs is the Giants’ all-time leader in rushing touchdowns with 60, and he’s fifth in rushing with 5,087 yards. Only Tiki Barber (10,449), Rodney Hampton (6,897), Joe Morris (5,296) and Saquon Barkley (5,211) have more rushing yards than Jacobs.
Jacobs’ best seasons came in 2007 and ’08, when he recorded consecutive 1,000-yard campaigns. He had a career-high 1,089 yards and 15 rushing scores in the 2008 season, helping the Giants finish as the NFC’s top seed.
In 11 career playoff games, Jacobs added 461 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
