What was supposed to be a relaxing holiday in Ibiza turned ugly for Oldham Athletic forward Kian Harratt, and it’s all over social media. The 22-year-old soccer player found himself at the center of a heated poolside brawl that ended with him striking a woman with a chair.
Fans Slam Harratt, Club Remains Silent

Clips of the incident have gone viral, sparking outrage among fans and social media users. Many criticized Harratt for his behavior and slammed Oldham Athletic for staying silent.
“With that chair went his career,” one user wrote.
Another added, “Suddenly he can hit a target? Also, he’s gonna get banned from playing.”
Some fans also resurfaced Harratt’s past legal trouble. In 2022, a court convicted him of poaching wildlife and fined him. Now, critics are calling on Oldham to respond to the latest controversy. “Let’s see how Oldham Athletics treats this MORON once he comes back,” one person posted on X.
Harratt isn’t staying quiet. He shared his version on TikTok, claiming he tried to avoid the fight until a chair flew at him.
“Just for the people who have seen the video circling the internet of me throwing a chair ‘FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON’… I tried staying out the way… a chair then got lobbed towards me so I picked the chair up and threw it back and it accidentally hit the woman,” Harratt wrote.
He went on to explain that his friend, who he said is only 18, got into a confrontation with a much larger man. According to Harratt, the man attacked his friend and “dropped him” before kicking him in the face. Harratt said he felt terrible for hitting the woman and insisted he was only trying to help his friend.
Neither Oldham Athletic nor the local authorities have issued a public statement so far. Harratt’s future with the club now hangs in the balance as pressure builds for action.
