From Three to Four: A Mormon Mom’s Heart Grows Even Bigger

Mikayla Matthews is a mom — times four!
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 25, and husband Jace Terry welcomed their fourth baby, a girl, on July 17.

Matthews revealed the exciting news through an Instagram post shared on Sunday, July 20. “7•17•25 🤍 our perfect baby girl is here,” the reality star captioned a series of photos of herself, Terry and their newborn in the hospital.

On her Instagram Stories, Matthews shared a photo of her baby daughter on her chest, writing in text over the image, “Can’t wait to share all the details with you guys.”
“We have just been so in love over here with our baby girl,” the proud mom continued. “She’s everything we ever wanted and I’m just so happy.”

The couple’s new addition joins their three older kids: daughters Tommie, 3, and Haven, 5½, plus son Beckham, 7½.

Matthews previously told PEOPLE that she and Terry shared the news of their growing family with their kids on Christmas.
“We waited until after my first ultrasound to tell them. We actually told them on the show, and they were so excited. They said Santa brought them a baby for Christmas. It was so sweet,” she said.

Matthews also teased that baby No. 4 might not be the last time the family grows. “It’s so wild to me that we’ll be a family of six. I feel like it’s the Mormon in me coming out,” she said with a laugh.
“I’m surrounded by Mormon culture still, and my husband’s siblings all have so many kids. They’re like, ‘Once you hit three kids, you can have 10 kids.’ That’s kind of the mindset I have,” Matthews continued.
She added, “When people ask me how many kids I want, I’m like, ‘I’ve always wanted three or four, but I could see myself having six.’ “
