Patrick Mahomes may want to reconsider his comment on Taylor Swift’s new album after listening to a specific track.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback likely wasn’t offered an opportunity to give an early listen to ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ as he would have known about the most controversial song on there.
Mahomes spoke to 96.5 The Fan on Thursday night and was asked about what was then an upcoming release. He was understandably intent on being supportive, given that Swift is engaged to his teammate and friend Travis Kelce, but he should be having second thoughts by now.
“Yeah for sure, I’m super excited,” he said about the album (H/T the Daily Mail). “I haven’t been able to hear the album yet but I am super excited to be able to do.”
He then added that it would be on full blast at the Chiefs’ facility on Friday.
“It will be blaring all through the Chiefs facility tomorrow. We will be supporting Taylor. She has put in so much hard work into this and I am excited to hear the album, just like everybody else.”
Patrick Mahomes Will Probably Not Be Jiving To One Particular Song

As it turns out, one particular song is all about Travis’ package and is even named “Wood.”
“Forgive me, it sounds cocky, he ah-matized me, and opened my eyes,” Swift sings at the beginning of the track.
She then mentions a “redwood tree,” “magic wand,” and a key that unlocked her thighs.
We don’t imagine the Chiefs too keen on blaring that one through their facility. Or maybe they did, to poke fun at Kelce.
