Jodie Turner-Smith shared a special moment with her little girl — and it was all thanks to Taylor Swift.
The Queen & Slim actress, 39, recently spoke with PEOPLE at Target’s Spring Beauty Studio event in New York City, where she opened up about how motherhood has impacted her beauty routine. Turner-Smith, who’s the mother of daughter Juno, 5, juggles many hats as a working mom, actress and model.
In addition to those roles, the do-it-all mom makes time to show up for those important to her. She recently starred as an aerobic instructor in Swift’s “Opalite” music video, which she says was her “favorite experience on a music video” set.
“I think it’s my favorite experience on a music video. It was so incredible to watch her work and the way that she works and the way her mind moves,” she tells PEOPLE, referring to the 36-year-old singer and songwriter. “And when she hit me up and was like, ‘Hey, will you do this?’ I was like, ‘Say less.'”

In addition to having the unique opportunity to watch Swift work, Turner-Smith got to bring her daughter, whom she shares with ex-husband Joshua Jackson, on set with a little push from Swift herself.
“She’s so cool and down to earth and wonderful, and it was interesting keeping it a secret. I’m so proud of my daughter for not telling anyone,” Turner-Smith adds. “And they were like, ‘Please, no, because we don’t want her to tell anyone.’ And Taylor was like, ‘I want to meet her.’ So that was so sweet.”
After making a surprise appearance in the “Opalite” music video, released on Feb. 6, the actress posted a few photos from the time she spent on set, including two shots of her 5-year-old daughter embracing the pop superstar.
“Continue to be in awe of you @taylorswift,” Turner-Smith wrote alongside the series of photos, including one in which Swift bent down to wrap her arms around Juno while standing in a dimly lit hallway. “Your creativity, your intelligence, your wit, your generosity, your grace.”
“I had so much fun doing this, and the entire time I was thinkin ‘taylor directing me again when??’ ” the actress continued. “OPALITE VIDEO OUT NOW.”

Beyond sharing a rare glimpse into her daughter’s special moment with the “Cruel Summer” singer, Turner-Smith has also welcomed Juno into the world of fashion with open arms.
“She has opinions about everything, which is what I love about her,” she told Access Hollywood of her daughter in April 2025. “She’s so wonderful. Listen, the other day, this girl made me do a fitting for her. I was trying to get her dressed, and she was like, ‘I’ll try them all on.’ “
“And I was like, ‘You wanna do a fitting?’ She was like, ‘Yeah,’ ” the Anne Boleyn star continued. “And we had to do that fitting. It was eight looks. I couldn’t even be mad. I was like, ‘She’s used to me. She’s used to seeing it.’ What can I say?”
Turner-Smith said she is keen to see how Juno’s personality develops as she gets older.
“It’s so exciting that she’s getting older, because we just get to do more stuff together,” the actress told Access Hollywood. “She’s so fun to hang out with and she’s so intelligent, and I just look forward to continue to see the personality unfold.”
