World reacts as Travis Kelce ranks favorite Taylor Swift songs

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was a fan of Taylor Swift’s music long before the two began dating. And during a recent podcast appearance, he opened up about his Swiftie fandom in addition to his romantic relationship with the pop sensation.

During a recent appearance on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast, Travis Kelce was asked to rank his three favorite Taylor Swift songs. He did not hesitate as he also shared his favorite album that she ever wrote.

“I really started listening to Taylor’s music when she came out with 1989,” Kelce explained on the podcast. “Like, I knew who she was before that. We were the same age, so through high school and everything I knew who Taylor was as she was getting her career started. But I think 1989 was where it really started to go crazy. So I’m going to say ‘Blank Space,’ because that was like the first one.”

Kelce’s second favorite song also came from the 1989 album.

“I think I’ll go No. 2, ‘Cruel Summer.’ ‘Cruel Summer’ is one of the ones she opens with at her show. And when she comes out and it’s just [freaking] electric in the stadium and then she goes into an absolute banger like that… I was fired up when that happened at the first show I was ever at,” Kelce said.

His third favorite song is a new one,  but it makes sense considering it’s written about him. “I’ll say ‘So High School,’” Kelce said. “I think ‘So High School,’ it’s got a little bit of sentimental meaning.” Will Compton pointed out that Kelce “made an appearance” in the song. “I think so. I think so. I think so. ‘You know how to ball, I know Aristotle,’” Kelce said, quoting a lyric from the song. Needless to say, Kelce’s ranking generated a lot of conversation on social media.
