COVID-19-affected Sources: Bill Clinton replaces Hillary Clinton at the Hamptons fundraiser, bringing Doug Emhoff with him.

Hillary Clinton bowed out of a Hamptons fundraiser for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz on Monday, we hear, after the former secretary of state came down with COVID-19.

Husband and former President Bill Clinton stepped in, sources say, to speak at the Sag Harbor event along with Harris’ hubby, second gentleman Doug Emhoff.

The event was held at the home of mega art collectors Lisa and Richard Perry, who are known to house works by Frank Stella, Alexander Calder, Ellsworth Kelly and Donald Judd, among other blue-chip artists.

Tickets at the highest tier went for a cool $100,000 each, and an invitation seen by Page Six said, “This is likely to be one of the last small events in the NY area before the election, so it is not to be missed.” Dog Emhoff

According to the invitation, Sharon and Jon Corzine, Crystal McCrary McGuire and Ray McGuire, Brooke Garber Neidich and Dan Neidich, Laurie Tisch and other notables were among the event’s chairs.

A source said of the Clintons’ involvement, “They don’t have to show at these things,” and added that the switch was made on short notice.

Earlier the same day, there was another Democratic fundraiser at the home of MWW chief Michael Kempner, who’s known as a big Clinton backer, we hear.

Another source told us that “the two events combined raised over $2 million in just four days, showing the enthusiasm [for Harris] is real.”

Hillary Clinton, 76, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, received a standing ovation at the Democratic National Convention.

The Post separately reported that multiple attendees at the convention in Chicago subsequently tested positive for COVID-19. A number of people posted about their diagnoses on social media.
