Britney Spears’ ex-husband Sam Asghari admitted in a new interview that he has yet to flip through the pop star’s memoir, “The Woman in Me.”
“I did not read the book because I was there,” the actor told the Hollywood Reporter.
The magazine’s Sept. 11 issue noted that Asghari, 30, was hesitant to discuss his year-long marriage to Spears, 42, during the sit-down — and would not even share whether they are still in touch.
“If my life is private, it’s private. That’s something I’m always going to respect, regardless of any agreement or not,” he explained, referring to the NDA that Page Six previously reported he signed.
“It’s just the values that I have,” the former personal trainer added.
Spears released her New York Times bestseller in October 2023, just two months after Asghari filed for divorce from the “Toxic” singer. It is now being developed into a biopic.
In the book, which Page Six reviewed as a “survivor’s story” following the November 2021 termination of her 13-year conservatorship, Spears praised her then-husband as “a gift from God.”
Sources told us at the time that the tell-all had already gone to print when the Princess of Pop and Asghari split that summer, so she could not make any last-minute changes.
After the memoir’s release, the incoming “Traitors” contestant told paparazzi that he was “so freakin’ proud of” Spears but did not share whether he had read a copy.
