Jason Kelce made his big TV debut on “Monday Night Football” and it included one minor fumble.
The retired Philadelphia Eagles center officially made his appearance as a NFL analyst on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown,” the pregame show for ESPN’s “Monday Night Football,” on Sept. 9.
During the intros, anchor Scott Van Pelt introduced analysts Marcus Spears and Ryan Clark, as well as Kelce, noting his first-day outfit.
“Jason Kelce is wearing a shirt he got at the mall because he left his travel bag in the truck,” Spears quipped.
Kelce added that the white button-up shirt “fits my belly now, I’ve lost a little bit of weight,” but was “struggling” in the chest area.
The wardrobe mishap was no surprise to Kelce’s brother, Travis Kelce, who couldn’t help but crack a joke about it.
“Surprised he bought a new one and didn’t just go shirtless,” Travis Kelce tweeted.
Jason Kelce is no stranger to having shirtless moments. The retired football player famously went sans shirt when celebrating Travis Kelce’s touchdown during the Kansas City Chiefs-Buffalo Bills playoff game in January of this year. He was also shirtless at WrestleMania 40 in April.
In another post, however, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end did praise his big brother.
“What a natural!!” he wrote, reposting their “New Heights” podcast’s tweet with a screenshot of Jason Kelce on TV.

Travis Kelce previously called out his brother on his fashion choices when Jason Kelce wore a T-shirt, shorts and flip flops to the premiere of the “Kelce” documentary.
“I was gonna have jeans on but Kylie …” Jason Kelce said, mentioning his wife, Kylie Kelce. The couple shares three daughters together.
“Kylie what?” Travis Kelce asked.
“Kylie was running late. I just came straight from football. Kylie was going to bring the jeans. Kylie was late,” Jason Kelce said.
That was when Travis Kelce blatantly asked, “Why didn’t Jason bring jeans for Jason?”
As he was explaining the situation, Jason Kelce then said, “Alright I’m realizing now, I probably can’t blame Kylie for this. Soooo, yeah, I wore shorts and sandals.”
Meanwhile, as Jason Kelce made his analyst debut, Travis Kelce and his team kicked off football season with their game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 5. The Chiefs beat the Raven 27-20, while Taylor Swift was in attendance, cheering on her boyfriend alongside his parents.
