Donald Trump can’t seem to shake off his feelings about Taylor Swift.
On Sunday, Sept. 15, the Republican presidential candidate, 78, shared a post on his social media platform Truth Social, where he reacted to Swift’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.
“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” Trump wrote in a post.
Swift, 34, officially endorsed Harris, 59, in the presidential race on Instagram on Tuesday, Sept. 10. The move was done shortly after Harris and Trump wrapped their first debate.

Without commenting on Trump’s politics, Swift went on to write, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.”
She then called Harris “a steady-handed, gifted leader” and added, “I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.” She also complimented Harris’ running mate, Tim Walz, for “standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”
Swift continued, “I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it’s much easier to vote early. I’ll link where to register and find early voting dates and info in my story.”
The pop star ended her statement by signing off as a “Childless Cat Lady,” a reference to the unfavorable 2021 comments made by Trump’s running mate, J.D. Vance.
Trump responded to Swift’s endorsement the following day during an interview with Fox & Friends.
“I was not a Taylor Swift fan,” he said on the show. “It was just a question of time. … But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat. And she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”
Days later, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) went up with a set of witty campaign billboards in New York City and Las Vegas with the phrase “We’re in our Kamala era” — a reference to Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour.
The billboards utilize Swift’s hit song “… Ready for It” from her 2017 Reputation album, with the phrase “A New Way Forward… Ready for It?” added.
Trump, meanwhile, has been continuing to use Swift’s likeness for his campaign, as his team recently shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) that read, “Calling all Swifties for Trump,” along with a photo and link to purchase a Trump Era T-shirt.
