LeBron James knows firsthand how tough the early stages of a professional sports career can be. During his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, James faced his share of challenges but never let them slow him down. He pushed through a difficult start to eventually become the NBA Rookie of the Year and later solidified his place as one of the greatest players in history and is frequently mentioned in the GOAT debate.
Recently, Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young experienced a tough moment in his young NFL career. After only 18 starts, Young was benched on Monday following a rough rookie season.
LeBron James took to X to show support for the second-year NFL quarterback. He also offered some words of encouragement and advice.
“Bryce Young hold ya head Young 🤴🏾!! Rooting for you and know this ain’t on you! Continue to put the work in and it shall prevail,” James posted.

Kendrick Perkins Predicts All-NBA Future For LeBron James Despite Age
Though James never experienced benching in his rookie year, he understood that the setback must have been difficult for the second-year player. Hence, he was quick to offer his support.
Entering his 22nd season, James is still performing at the elite level. Despite so many years in the league, James continues to dominate the court, showing no signs of slowing down.
Therefore, many believe James has more milestones ahead of him. Former NBA star and current analyst Kendrick Perkins is one of them. He recently made a bold prediction about James during an appearance on ESPN NBA.
“No cap! LeBron is gonna make a few All-NBA teams before he retires, and I mean at a minimum [of] two. Don’t give me anything about his age as long as he’s on the floor; LeBron James is gonna be an All-NBA-caliber player, and he’s gonna make a few of them before he retires,” Perkins said.
Notably, James recently signed a two-year extension with the Lakers after his son Bronny James was drafted. The upcoming season holds a special significance as James is set to make history by playing alongside Bronny, marking the first-ever father-son duo in NBA history.
