Marlon Wayans slammed Elon Musk’s treatment of the billionaire’s transgender daughter.
The comedian joked in the Sept. 10 episode of the “Club Shay Shay” podcast that he wants to drive his Tesla “over a cliff” due to Musk’s recents comments about 20-year-old Vivian Wilson.
“I don’t like what he be saying about his trans child,” Wayans, 52, told host Shannon Sharpe. “It made me mad. You don’t treat them babies like that, you don’t disown your baby.”
He advised Musk, 53, to “love your child.”
The “White Chicks” star shared his own experience with finding “acceptance” for his 24-year-old son Kai Wayans’ transition after going through the “five stages of grief.”
He recalled, “I’m proud to say it took me a week — but it felt like forever. l’m sad to say some parents, some family members, and some people it’ll take them a lifetime.”
Marlon noted, “They’ll never get to that magical place that I’m at which is just acceptance. [He’s] still my child. That’s my baby.”
The “Scary Movie” actor added that he had a “hard” time with the change because he felt like “the last to know” since Kai’s mom, Angela Zackery, saw “signs” that he missed.
Marlon, who is also the father of son Shawn, 22, made his eldest child’s transition public in November 2023 on “The Breakfast Club.”
The previous year, Musk made headlines for his reaction to his daughter’s transition after she requested a name and gender change.
Not only was the then-teenager granted a new first name in June 2022, but she switched to her mother’s surname as well because she “no longer … wish[ed] to be related to [her] biological father in any way, shape or form.”
Musk, who has welcomed 11 other children over the years, joked about their estrangement to the Financial Times that October and said, “You can’t win them all.”
