Travis Hunter clearly took notice of Richard Sherman’s comments.
Hunter, the Colorado star, wore a T-shirt with the word “Bland” written on it before the Buffaloes’ game against UCF on Saturday afternoon.
It comes just a few days after Sherman made interesting comments about the superstar wide receiver and cornerback dual threat.
One of first guys out of locker room in Orlando is Colorado’s two-way Heisman hopeful Travis Hunter, who’s played 524 total snaps in first four games. 👀

“As a receiver, I just think he’s kinda bland,” Sherman, the former star NFL cornerback, said on Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown’s podcast.
St. Brown had asked Sherman if he thinks Hunter can play both receiver and cornerback in the NFL.
“Hell no,” Sherman said. “You know that, right? You’re talking crazy.”
St. Brown then pointed out that Hunter’s head coach, Deion Sanders, at times did it in the NFL.
“A little,” Sherman said. “You’re talking about a few plays here and there. [He’s] not playing 50 snaps on offense and 55 snaps on defense.”
Sherman later said he thinks Hunter will enter the draft as a cornerback, not a receiver.
“Receivers his size, he’s not a special size,” Sherman said. “I don’t see him as a super dynamic route-runner. He’s just a great athlete and he’s smooth, so he can get it done. I’m sure if he sat there and focused on receiver, he can be elite.
“But as a corner, he just looks natural. … It’s so rare. A corner like him is gonna up the market.”
Entering Saturday’s clash, Hunter had 37 catches for 472 yards and five touchdowns in just four games for Colorado (3-1).
Travis Hunter didn’t want to meet Cam Newton. 😭
