Cameras caught Seattle Seahawks superstar wide receiver DK Metcalf arguing with offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb during the team’s Week 6 “Thursday Night Football” game against the San Francisco 49ers.
DK Metcalf had a surprisingly quiet game against an injured 49ers defense, recording just three receptions for 48 yards. Three Seattle players (Tyler Lockett, Noah Fant and Jaxon Smith-Njigba) finished with more receiving yards than Metcalf.
During the game, sideline cameras caught a visibly frustrated Metcalf taking a headset to communicate with Grubb. It’s hard to determine exactly what Metcalf was saying, but it looks like he said, “Hey Grubb,” after putting on the headset. That appeared to be followed by, “Can we please…throw past the f***ing sticks…please!”
Is this lip read correct of DK Metcalf? 😳
“Hey Grubb, can we please… throw past the F$&king sticks… PLEASE”

Seattle overhauled its coaching staff last year, hiring former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald to replace Pete Carroll. Grubb was brought in as the OC after a successful two-year stint with the Washington Huskies.
Frustrating Times For DK Metcalf & Seahawks
The Seahawks started out a perfect 3-0 and looked like the team to beat in the NFC, especially when San Francisco dropped two of its first three games. But Metcalf’s Seahawks blew a golden opportunity to distance themselves from Kyle Shanahan’s group, and it just feels like the 49ers are on their way to a third straight division title.
