The NBA preseason is already in full swing, with superstars like LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant leading their teams in preparation for the upcoming regular season. Fans are eager to see how these players are shaping up, especially as they aim to fine-tune their performances before the real competition begins.
Amid the excitement of the preseason, former U.S. President Barack Obama made waves by revealing his all-time NBA starting five. Through an X post, Obama picked players he believed could take on anyone.
“I’m going to talk about my favorite starting five. I’m from Chicago. MJ, Michael Jordan, at shooting guard. I’d put LeBron at point forward. A bunch of times he’d be bringing up the ball and he’d be distributing,” Obama said.

To round out his backcourt, Obama tapped into modern basketball trends by adding Stephen Curry, calling him “the greatest shooter of all time, bar none.” For the center position, Obama chose Hakeem Olajuwon. Finally, Obama completed his team with Kevin Durant.
“This last spot is tough, but I think, especially given today’s game, I’ve got to go with Kevin Durant, KD, who may be the most efficient, effective scorer in the history of basketball. I’m feeling pretty good about that five beating just about anybody.”
Colin Jost Adds Comedy To LeBron James And Bronny James’ Historic Game
LeBron James and his son Bronny James made history as the first active father-son duo when they took the court for the Los Angeles Lakers during their second preseason game. While this historic event was making headlines, Saturday Night Live co-host Colin Jost took the opportunity to share a humorous take on the father-son duo’s game.
“LeBron James and his son, Bronny, made history when they became the first-ever father-son duo to play an NBA game together. But there was some confusion when LeBron called a timeout and his son went and stood in the corner,” Jost said.
The Lakers’ next preseason game is scheduled for October 15, when they will face the Golden State Warriors. Fans will be excited to see if LeBron and Bronny will share the court again and continue to make history together.
