The New York Jets made a significant acquisition this Tuesday, trading for Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams in the wake of their disappointing loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday night.
The move reunites Adams with former Green Bay Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers and should help foster a turnaround in NY following the Jets’ 2-4 start to the season.
The Jets have sent a conditional third-round pick to the Las Vegas Raiders which would become a second-rounder depending on the WR’s performance over the remainder of the season.
Adams, who had made no secret of his desire to be traded, reacted by posting a short clip of his young daughter laughing to his Instagram.

This comes after Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was accused of using his kids as “human shields” to deflect negative questions from reporters at his post-game presser after his team’s win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Davante Adams Was Unhappy In Vegas
Adams made it known that he wanted to be traded before Week 5 this season, having grown disenchanted with the team’s performances after their woeful start to the season.
The Raiders have allowed him to leave because they are in a rebuilding phase and are aware that they cannot win a Super Bowl this season. They have opted to take the draft capital in the hopes of retooling for next term.

As for the Jets, their offense has experienced a major upgrade, with Rodgers linking up with his favorite target from his Packers days.
The team has now done everything possible to make him happy and will be keen on seeing some returns on their investment, given what has been a disaster so far.
