Social media detectives are teeing off on what they think is an X/Twitter burner account used by Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, following its take on the Amari Cooper blockbuster trade.
On Tuesday, the Browns traded their Pro Bowl wideout and a 2025 sixth-round pick to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for 2025 third and 2026 seventh-round picks. The trade may help Cleveland in the long-term, but Deshaun Watson stands to play even worse without his No. 1 receiver from here on out.
Many fans on social media are convinced that Watson is using a burner account @VPritchs on X/Twitter. If you go through the user’s timeline, you’ll see posts containing criticism of the football team but immense defense for Watson.
After the trade, the account wrote, “That’s what players get when they drop dimes… Good riddance” before calling for the team to move on from head coach Kevin Stefanski:
That’s what players get when they drop dimes… Good riddance. Now 4 just need the coach traded and we back next year on God 💯 https://t.co/W7oGpGuIyT

Watson is still statistically the worst QB in franchise history
The Browns gave Watson everything he wanted and “needed” yet he still cant win
Now they have to trade assets because they are handcuffed to the worst contract in pro sports pic.twitter.com/QdfEGdIPAk

Deshaun Watson is off to a miserable start in his third season with the Browns, losing five of six starts and completing just 61.3 percent of pass attempts for 1,020 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions.
Watson hasn’t hit the 200-yard mark in a single game this season, either. And he’s virtually untradeable with a fully guaranteed $230 million contract that was signed right after the Browns controversially traded for him in the 2022 offseason.
Deshaun Watson Trade Has Set The Browns Way Back
Baker Mayfield’s success with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is a clear-cut reminder that the Browns were foolish to give up on him after an injury-riddled 2021 season. Watson’s miserable play in Cleveland is also another reminder that they’re the most dysfunctional NFL franchise.
Mayfield led the Browns to their first playoff win in 26 years. It took one inconsistent season marred by injuries for Cleveland to give up on him. But here they are committing to Watson despite his disturbing off-the-field legal matters and careless play.
That’s the Cleveland Browns for you.
