The Las Vegas Raiders lost another tough game, but the biggest enemy of that game turned out to be head coach Antonio Pierce and his actions late in the game.
A highly controversial, if not cowardly, decision by Raiders coach Antonio Pierce led to his team’s Week 7 loss at SoFi Stadium.
The Raiders fell to the Rams 20-15 Sunday after Pierce settled for a field goal on fourth-and-goal from the 9-yard line with 2:50 remaining.
That field goal did not help the team, but it did help cover the spread.
Antonio Pierce might be the most unserious NFL coach in NFL history

Fans, more notably, bettors, couldn’t believe that Antonio Pierce pulled this move.
@AntonioPierce explain yourself for kicking that field goal. You make the most boneheaded decision and never have to actually explain your reasoning. You are either gambling on your own games or are intentionally playing for the spread not to win. Either way you should be ashamed

Antonio Pierce is working for Vegas. And I’m not talking about the Raiders. What kind of moron would ever kick a field goal on 4th and goal when down 8 with less than 2 minutes left? Timeouts or not. Makes zero sense and was only done to cover the spread. Investigate this clown!!

THE ONLY REASON ANTONIO PIERCE HAD THEM KICK A POINTLESS FIELD GOAL WAS TO COVER THE SPREAD.
THERE IS NO OTHER LOGICAL REASON YOU KICK A FG ON THE 3 YARD LINE DOWN A TOUCHDOWN WITH ONLY 3 MINS LEFT
MAKE IT MAKES SENSE!!!

Antonio Pierce cares about the spread #Raiders

Antonio Pierce totally chose to cover the spread, and not win. He needed a TD on 4th and goal at the 9, and kicked a meaningless FG. Someone needs to investigate the HC for betting on the game. That was absolutely obvious.

It was a bad decision by Pierce, but the Las Vegas Raiders did end up getting the ball back, but weren’t in a position to succeed at their own 11-yard line with 1:37 to play.
Quarterback Gardner Minshew threw two incompletions and then his third interception of the day that sealed the victory for the Rams.
A more strategic, sound decision from Pierce would have been to go for the touchdown and two-point conversion to tie the game.
Raiders Fans Are Now Calling For Antonio Pierce To Be Fired
Last season, fans of the Raiders championed for Antonio Pierce to get the job as the team started to play so much better under him.
In less than a year, the fan base now wants him gone.
The Las Vegas Raiders are a completely lost franchise right now, and that was never more evident than during the Week 7 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
With Las Vegas down 20-12 and at the Rams‘ nine-yard line with less than three minutes to go, Antonio Pierce decided to kick a field goal instead of trying to go for it.
Fans now want him gone:
Hey @Raiders !!! 👀
Fire Antonio Pierce and Luke Getsy.
Trade for Garrett Wilson.

Antonio Pierce fire Luke Getsy before you you get fired! #RaiderNation

🚨TIME FOR CHANGE IN LAS VEGAS! 🚨
The season is lost, and you can’t make an argument otherwise.
This is what needs to happen between now and the start of next season for the team to become competitive:
• Fire Luke Getsy NOW
• Fire Antonio Pierce at season’s end
