Mike Evans exits ‘Monday Night Football’ matchup in Buccaneers injury blow

Mike Evans nearly had his sixth touchdown of the season, but instead, he ended his night early.

The Buccaneers’ wide receiver suffered a hamstring injury attempting to make a catch deep in the end zone, which had Evans on the ground clearly in pain.

The pass attempt from Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield had been in the hands of Evans briefly as a Ravens defender pulled him down to disrupt the pass.

The players rolled several times before coming to a stop with Evans immediately grabbing the area near his hamstring and pounding the ground in pain.

He was eventually ruled out for the rest of the game.

Evans had come into the Week 7 matchup with Baltimore as questionable after he had suffered a hamstring injury the week prior in the Bucs’ blowout win over the Saints.

The Tampa receiver had one catch for 25 yards on three targets prior to the injury.
