Kristin Cavallari said she hopes her ex-husband, Jay Cutler “gets the help he needs” after the former NFL quarterback was arrested for DUI and gun possession last Thursday in Franklin, Tenn.
During the latest installment of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast, the former reality star issued a brief statement and said she won’t be speaking about it further.
“I do, of course, wish Jay the best and hope he gets the help he needs,” said Cavallari, who shares sons Camden, 12, and Jaxon, 10, and daughter Saylor, 8, with Cutler. “But that is the only thing I will be saying about it publicly.”
Cavallari, who announced her split from Cutler in 2020, explained that she recorded the podcast episode — entitled, “Breaking Up Sucks,” which included conversation about their divorce — before Cutler’s arrest.
“This episode was recorded before a very public incident happened last week with my ex husband,” Cavallari said. “So just keep that in mind as you’re listening. I will not be commenting on what happened.”
Cutler also was arrested on failure to exercise due care and violation of implied consent law, according to police records.
He posted a $5,000 bond and was released later that night on Oct. 17, a rep for the Franklin Police Department told TMZ Sports.
Cavallari and Cutler married in 2013 and then finalized their divorce in 2022 following financial disputes.
The Uncommon James founder, 37, is single after she recently broke up with boyfriend, Mark Estes, last month.
