Denver Broncos WR Josh Reynolds Injured In Shooting Outside Gentlemen’s Club

Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds suffered “minor injuries” in a shooting outside of a strip club last Friday, the team announced on Thursday.

Last week, news broke in Colorado that two men were wounded in a shooting in the early hours of Friday. Both victims survived, one of which has been confirmed to be veteran NFL wideout Josh Reynolds.

Janet Oravetz and Kevin Vaughan of 9NEWS report that Reynolds and the other victim, an unnamed male, were shot outside of a strip club on Friday and suffered minor injuries. Reynolds was hit in the left arm and the back of the head, and the other victim suffered a wound in the back:

According to the court documents, Josh Reynolds and the other man were at the Shotgun Willies strip club in Glendale, a city just outside of Denver. The men had no incidents in the club, but were followed by two drivers after leaving the venue.

Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza have been arrested for their involvement in the shooting. Charlesworth claims that his friend previously had a “conflict” with the victims.

The Broncos offered the following statement to 9NEWS:

Reynolds, in his first season with the Broncos, has 12 receptions for 183 yards and one touchdown this season. He is on the injured reserve recovering from surgery on a fractured finger.

Here’s hoping for a safe and speedy recovery for Josh Reynolds and the other victims involved in the horrifying incident.

Josh Reynolds Signed Two-Year Deal With Broncos

After helping the Detroit Lions to the NFC Championship Game last season, Reynolds signed a two-year deal with the rebuilding Broncos worth $9 million. Denver needed WR help after cutting Tim Patrick and trading Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns.

Despite being sidelined the last two games, Reynolds is second among Broncos in receiving behind only Courtland Sutton, who has 21 catches for 277 yards and two touchdowns.
