Travis Kelce ruffled some feathers with his post-presidential election message.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the Chiefs tight shared a collage of photos featuring his teammates commemorating Kansas City’s 30-24 win over the Buccaneers in overtime on “Monday Night Football.”
“Arrowhead at night 🏟️🔥🔥,” Kelce wrote, including a pair of fire emojis.
Some felt Kelce’s post was ill-timed after former president Donald Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris to become the 47th president of the United States in Tuesday’s election.+

“Travis pls not right now we’re mourning,” another added.
“Not today Travis,” one user posted as more “read the room” comments followed.
The Instagram account of his “New Heights” podcast added, “Keeping it rolling 👏🙌🔥,” as the Chiefs extended their win streak to 8-0.
Others mentioned Kelce’s girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift, and asked what she thinks of the outcome of this year’s presidential race.
Swift, 34, endorsed Harris in an Instagram post following the presidential debate in September.
Kelce, 35, did not back either candidate publicly. He was photographed voting on Tuesday.
Kelce’s post celebrated the Chiefs’ eighth straight win on their quest to become three-peat champions.
The 14-time Grammy winner took in the Chiefs-Buccaneers game from a suite a Arrowhead Stadium, where she was seen cheering with her mom, Andrea, Kelce’s mom Donna and Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
